Armed Forces Day

Issued on December 11, 1981, the Armed Forces Day commemorative stamp set from the Sultanate of Oman stands as a prominent tribute to the nation's military modernization and strategic defense networks. Released annually to honor the Sultan of Oman’s Armed Forces (SAF), the 1981 series highlights the country's defense capabilities during an era of rapid mid-century technological development under Sultan Qaboos bin Said.
