Men's Costume - Muscat Region

Issued in 1989 as part of the Omani Costumes series, this stamp commemorates the traditional men's costume of the Muscat Region, the historic heart of Oman's political, commercial, and maritime life. The attire consists of a traditional dishdasha, a turban, a ceremonial khanjar worn at the waist, and a cloak or outer garment reflecting the formal dress traditionally associated with the region.
